We are thrilled to announce our member of the month for February! Kiley Jensen is a sophomore studying marketing and OMBA at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Members earn this award for exceptional participation in the UMD AMA through superior attendance and active engagement to support the club’s mission and community. 


Kiley joined the AMA to build personal relationships, create professional connections, and expand her mental encyclopedia of the real-world marketing landscape. Initially an OMBA major, she was inspired to add marketing after attending an AMA meeting with a non-profit where suicide prevention campaign ideas for veterans and the active military was being pitched. The creativity and impact of marketing hooked her instantly.


For Kiley, marketing enables people to feel seen and valued. She admires brands like Disney, Sephora, and the NFL, which she calls “essential to the soul rather than the body”. She is passionate in creating experiences that foster uncharacteristic confidence, infectious joy, and unforgettable memories, rather than selling on which commodity deserves one’s dollar!


Beyond AMA, Kiley is also a Strategic Marketing & Fan Experience intern with Maryland Athletics Marketing where she helps implement promotional and game day activities to drive fan engagement and generate revenue in Maryland sports. This semester, she will be a secondary contact for women's lacrosse, attending every game to enhance fan experience. Her role has sharpened her communication, time management, and problem-solving skills—all while having fun!
